WORLD HEALTH DAY 2026-Together for Health

7th of April 2026 marked World Health Day, which highlighted the oneness of health and underscored how the health of the planet is inextricably linked to the existence of all beings. It also emphasizes how scientific advances continue to save millions of live worldwide. The Tibetan settlements in India were also part of the global initiative to celebrate health. Tibetan settlement offices, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), doctors, and nurses teamed up to promote campaigns to raise health awareness. Their campaigns encompass hand hygiene exhibit, marathon race, basketball, racquet and football tournaments, yoga sessions, free health screening, environmental cleanup drive, and creative writing competition. People of all ages came together for health. This initiative was funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (USDOS, SCA).
