Palden Dhondup

Palden Dhondup la is the Secretary of the Department of Health, Central Tibetan Administration since May 1, 2019. He was born on July 6, 1969, in Ladakh. He completed his schooling from TCV School Ladakh and thereafter completed his studies from Central Insitute for Higher Tibetan Studies at Varanasi attaining a degree in Shastri and Acharya. In the year 1997, he was appointed as the settlement officer of Kalimpong Tibetan settlement. In 2001, he was appointed as the settlement officer of Choephel Tibetan settlement in Miao, Arunachal Pradesh. From 2002-2006, Palden Dhondup was appointed as the settlement officer of Phuntsokling Tibetan settlement, Orissa. From 2006-2007, he presided as the settlement officer of Kunphenling Tibetan settlement in Ravangla. In 2007 he was appointed as the settlement officer of Dorling Tibetan settlement. On Febuarary 26, Palden Dhondup was promoted to Joint Secretary position. He was appointed as the settlement officer of Doeguling Tibetan settlement, Mundgod in 2008. Later in the year 2011, he was transferred to the Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Delhi. In 2013, he was appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Home and thereafter was promoted to Additional Secretary in 2014. From 2016 he has been presiding as the Director of Tibetan Administrative Training and Welfare Society.

Jampa Phuntsok

Mr Jampa Phuntsok was born in Kollegal Dhondenling Settlement, South Indian state of Karnataka. After the initial few years in the CST School, he then got admitted into Sera Je School of sera Je Monastery in Bylakuppe and studied there till secondary school. He completed senior secondary studies from Little Scholars Junior college, Secunderabad. He graduated with Bachelor in commerce from St, Joseph Degree College in the year 2003. With a support from the DOH, CTA he completed Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management (HDCM), in 2004 and following that, served at Miao Tibetan Handicraft Cooperative Society, for about more than two years between May, 2005 and Sept, 2007. Joined the CTA from Nov., 2007 and served as Settlement Officer in four different Tibetan settlements for almost eight years between July 2008 and June 2016. Since then he has been at CTA head quarter in Dharamsala, and served initially as a Joint Secretary and currently as Additional Secretary. He currently oversees SBCC, health Projects, Public Health, TMS and particularly involves in administration.

Tsering Youdon

Tsering Youdon la was born and brought up in Phuntsokling Tibetan Settlement, Odisha. She studied in CST Chandragiri until grade 10 and joined CST Darjeeling from where she passed her +2. She has a B.A Degree from Jyoti Nivas College, Bangalore. After graduating, she joined the Central Tibetan Administration and was placed in the Department of Information and International Relations. She was promoted to Deputy Secretary in 2012 and transferred to Documents Classification Section of Kashag Secretariat. She was further promoted in 2019 to the post of Joint Secretary at the Project and Accounts Division of CTA's Health Department.

Namgyal Gendun is a head accountant of the Department of Health. He completed his schooling from THS Mussoorie and holds a B.Com degree from St. Philomena’s College, Mysore from 1999. He joined the Tibetan Civil Service in the year 2000 and since then has served at various Tibetan communities- TWC Rajpur, Tashi Palkhiel Tibetan Settlement, Tashiling, Manang, Dorpatan Tibetan Settlement, Chonjor Welfare office, Dickyi Larsoe Tibetan Settlement and Dhondenling Tibetan Settlement.

After completing her schooling from CST Shimla and college at Punjab University, Chandigarh. She was recruited in the Tibetan Civil Service in December 2008, before joining the media section of the Health Department in July 2012. Previously she served as a Sponsorship Coordinator in the Education Department, CTA.

Tenzin Wangdak completed high school from Tibetan Children's Village, Gopalpur. He has a Bachelor and a Master's Degree in Social Work from St. Joseph College Bangalore. He joined Central Tibetan Administration and was posted at Phuntsokling Tibetan Refugee Settlement Office as Office Assistant. In January 2019, he was transferred to the Health Department.

TashiYangzom was born and brought up in Tibetan Handicraft Centre, Shimla. She did her Schooling from CST Shimla, H.P and completed her BA Degree from RKMV College, Shimla. She is with the Department since 2003 after the privatization of Charitable Trust Handicraft. Currently she serves as a dealing staff of Ngoeanga School, Disable Stipend and Deprived (Nyamdhak).
Karma Tendar did his earlier schooling at TCV School, Ladakh where he studied until eighth grade. He worked at Tibetan Cooperative Society, Ladakh for two years. He has been working at the department of health, CTA since 1995.
Sudharshan did his earlier schooling from Government Middle School, Jadrangal at Chamunda and Government high school,Tangnarwna at Yol, Dharamsala. He has worked with the Tibetan Administration Welfare Society and Paljor Handicraft Center, Khanyara for twelve years. In November 2002, he joined this department as a gardener and now works as a peon from October 2014.
Tenzin Choephel was born and brought up in Dharamsala. He did his high school from Upper Tibetan Children's Village, Dharamsala. He joined Central Tibetan Administration in year 2007 and works as a plumber in this Department.

Tibetan Medicare System Section
Nyima Gyaltsen went to THS, Mussoorie and completed his graduation from Punjab University and post graduate in Political Science from Maharaja Sayajirao of Baroda. He studied three months intensive translation program from the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives at Dharamsala. He was a school captain andhad shouldered the responsibility of president, Regional Tibetan Freedom Movement and Regional Tibetan Youth Congress during his stay in colleges. He is working as a coordinator of Tibetan Medicare System Department of Health since 2011.

Tenzin Nordon first completed her training as a community health worker (CHW) at Delek Hospital in 2003, then continued a career as a CHW for two years at the Kullu Tibetan Primary Health Care Centre. In 2005, she recieved a scholarship from the Department of Education under the guidance of the Department of Health for general nursing and midwifery at Hyderbad. From 2009 to 2019, Tenzin Nordon worked as a nurse at Tenzingang Primary Healthcare Centre, Mainpat Primary Healthcare Centre, and Tibet Charity in Dharamshala. As of April, she has been working as a staff nurse under the DoHe in the Tibetan Medicare System (TMS).

Sangmo Bhuti completed primary schooling from SOS TCV Suja and graduated +2 science from Upper TCV in Dharamshala. In 2012, she received her nursing degree from Dr. MV Shetty College of Nursing under Rajiv Gandhi University. Afterwards, she worked as a staff nurse at Mendata-The Medicity Hospital in Gurgoan and at Max Hospital in New Delhi. In 2016, she joined as TMS dealing staff in Dharamshala. Currently, she works as a TMS Nurse at CTA under the Tibetan Volunteer Health Association.

Tashi Tsomo did her primary schooling at Lower TCV in 2000 and secondary education at Upper TCV School (Art stream) in 2002. She did General Nursing Midwifery from Dr. MV Shetty College, Mangalore in 2007. She had worked at Jaipur Golden Hospital in Delhi for two years. She joined the Tibetan Primary Health Center, Delhi as a staff nurse in 15th July 2009 and worked until 8th March 2016. At present, she is serving as a TMS coordinator in the Health Department.

Sangje Dondup was born in Tuting settlement situated in Arunachal Pradesh. He did his primary schooling from Sambhota Tibetan School, Chauntra in 2010 and secondary education from Central School for Tibetan, Mussoorie to pursue Science Stream in 2012. He graduated from Nagindas Khandwala College from Mumbai University and also received a year course in B.SC Computer Science in 2016. He joined Department of Health on 17th July 2017 as an office Assistant and works in the Tibetan Medicare System.

Kelsang Chodon was born and brought up in Ladakh. She did her schooling from TCV Ladakh and completed high school from TCV Bylakuppe. She has Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Science from Punjab University, Chandigarh. In 2019, she served in Central Tibetan Administration through volunteer program (Tibet Corps) for seven months. Then later, she joined the CTA in the January 2020 and currently, she is in Public Health section. She currently handles the Universal Precaution Desk.

Ngawang Tenzin did her schooling from CST CVP and CST Mundgod,. After graduating from Manipal University in 2012, she attended the CTA pre-service course of 6 months and joined the Department of Health, CTA as Section Officer for RMNCHA program in 2013. She became Deputy Secretary in 2019 and currently is the head of disease prevention section.

Tenzin Dolkar had studied at CST Shimla and later went to CST Mussoorie to persue Science Stream. She did B.Sc nursing from Yenepoya Nursing College in Mangalore. She had worked at Private hospital in Delhi for two years. She is with the Department of Health since April 2014 and now works as a coordinator of Tibetan Medicare System.

Tsewang Yangtso originally came from Tibet and completed her schooling from Upper TCV; TCV is like a home in India. Her main stream is science and she graduated with a Bachelors in Science from St. Joseph's College in Bangalore. Currently, she works as an accountant for hospitals that comes under the administration of the Department of Health. She will give her best ability and service to our society so that her little effort can bring some positive development.

Tenzin Dolma completed her schooling from Lower TCV, Dharamshala and later studied Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science from Jabalpur Engineering College. She was a recipient of Tibetan Scholarship Program from 2017-2019 and graduated in Masters in Health Informatics from University of California, Davis. She currently works as Program Manager for the Health Information System (HIS) at the Department of Health.

Tsering Yangdol is the current mental health dealing staff of the Department of Health. She completed her schooling from TCV Selakui, Dehradun. She pursued Bachelors of Science (B.sc) in Psychology from Ethiraj College, Madras University and MA in Psychology from Delhi University. She was one of the recipients of the Tibetan Scholarship Program (2017-2019) and completed another masters in Psychology especially focusing on research methodology and clinical psychology from New York University.

Tenzin Lhadon went to C.S.T. Shimla and C.S.T. Mussoorie. Graduated from Nitte University, Mangalore with a degree in B.Sc Nursing. She has worked as a staff nurse for two years at Max Hospital, Delhi. After which joined the Department of Health, CTA, and has been working in the public health section as a project coordinator in the Hepatitis project.

Tenzin Dechen was born and brought up in Dharamshala. Studied at Upper TCV till 10th std. and moved to Gopalpur for +2. She has completed post basic nursing from St. John’s college of nursing, Bangalore. She has 2 years of experience in Apollo hospital, Delhi as a staff nurse in HDU( high dependency unit). She has also worked as health manager in Tong Len Charitable Trust (NGO). Currently, is working as a contract staff for Hepatitis B project in Department of Health, CTA.

Tenzin Samten was born and raised in Dhondenling Tibetan Settlement. He has studied till tenth standard in CST Kollegal and did PUC from CST Mundgod. He graduated with BE in Computer Science from AMC Engineering college in 2014. After graduation, he worked in JKTech Bangaluru for two years. He then attended one year Pre-Service Training at Sarah College for Higher Tibetan Studies. He joined Department of Health, CTA in October 2020. He currently works in Health Education Desk and Media.

Sonam Chodon did her primary schooling at CST Kollegal and senior secondary at CST Shimla. After graduating from Mysore University, she did a year diploma course in Computer at Learn soft Computer at Bangalore and year more in Teacher Training Course in Mysore. Prior to joining the Health Department, she had worked at Hotel Tibet, Dharamsala and Charitable Tibetan Handicraft Export in Delhi. After the privatization of the business unit, she then worked with the Finance department since 2003. Currently she is the coordinator of Emergency Relief Fund, Health department.

Tenzin Dhaze is the daughter of Mrs. Tsetan Dolma and late Mr. Tashi Wangdue. She was born and raised in India. She completed her schooling from Upper TCV and TCV Gopalpur in 2009. She received her General Nursing Midwifery course from Manipal school of Nursing, Bangalore in 2013. Before joining CTA, she worked at Manipal hospital Bangalore from 2013-14 and one more year at Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical and Health Sciences Hospital in Dehradun in 2015. She also served as a public health assistant on voluntary basis via Tibet Corps at the CTA Health Department for a period of six months. She joined the Health Department on 18th September 2017.

Tenzin Kunsang completed her schooling at SFF Senior Secondary School, Herbertpur, Dehradun. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Arts from Mysore University. In 1998, she joined the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and started her career in the Department of Home (DoH). During this period, she was assigned various responsibilities at six different Tibetan Settlement offices across India. In 2011, she was deputed to the Office of Tibet, South Africa as Secretary-cum-Accountant and served there for five years. In February 2016, she was transferred to the Department of Health as Under Secretary, and is currently acting as the Project officer in the Department.

Tsering la has a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, a Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital and Healthcare Management from Symbiosis Centre of Health Care, and an MBA in Healthcare Management from Sikkim Manipal University. He has over four years of experience working as a hospital administrator and health coordinator under the CTA Department of Health. From 2016 to 2017, he worked at The Tibet Fund based in Dharamshala as Health Project Coordinator for USAID supported Tibetan Health System Capacity Strengthening (THSC) project. Presently, he is serving at the Department of Health CTA as OSM & PRM project Coordinator.

Sonam Dolma was born and brought up in Odisha Phuntsokling Tibetan Settlement. She completed her earlier schooling from CST Chandigiri and did her senior secondary education from CST Bylakuppe. She received her bachelors degree in Arts from the Government College for Girls, Chandigarh in 2010 and Masters in modern history from Punjab University (P.U) in 2013. Before joining the Health Department, she had the privilege to serve in the history documentation section of CTA for almost one and half years. Currently, she is working in the Project Section of the Health Department.

Born and brought up in Dharamsala, Tenzin Tseyang completed her schooling from Upper TCV and received her post-grad education in English literature from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Gujarat. Afterwards, she joined CTA in 2017, where she began her work in communication section of Kashag and then got transferred to Department of Health. Currently, she is working as project officer, overlooking the project sections under USAID program in the Department of Health. She looks through a positive perspective as an opportunity to learn and inculcate new skills, and aspires to grow as an efficient contributing member of society through this platform.

Mr. Jamyang Sherab is a contractual programme officer at the Department of Health, CTA where he coordinate and overseas WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) activities across Tibetan Settlements in India. He graduated from the St. Aloysius College, Mangalore with Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and Master of Public Administration (MPA) from IGNOU. Before joining DoHe, He worked at the Department of Education, CTA and other Tibetan NGOs. He’s born and raised in Jangthang Chushul, finishes matriculation from TCV Ladakh and XII from CST-SFF Herbertpur.
