Workshop on RMNCHA for Tibetan Community Leaders

The Department of health organized a one day workshop on 28th April 2017 in Bylakuppe, on disease prevention and RMNCHA (Reproductive, maternal, Neonatal, child and adolescent health) issues for camp leaders from Hunsur, Bylakuppe, Mundgod and Kollegal. Around 59 camp leaders from the above mentioned settlements attended the workshop where external consultant Pragya Pranjali and Noor talked and discussed with the participants regarding Reproductive, Maternal, child, newborn and adolescent health issues. In the afternoon session, Dr Lobsang TSering, head of public health section of DOH talked about disease prevention stressing upon TB, and Hepatitis B problem in our community. Recognizing the important role of camp leaders in our community, he also introduced the community leaders to the community outreach health program under Tibetan health system strengthening program of the Department.

This workshop is funded by USAID aims to sensitize the Tibetan community leaders to health issues especially towards women reproductive and child health issues in the community.
