The Department of Health (DoH), Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), is organising a nine-day workshop on ‘Accounting, Tallying, Income Tax, FCRA and Budgeting’ from 21-31 August 2016 at the Tibetan Reception Centre, Dharamshala. A total of 16 accountants from 11 DoH-affiliated hospitals and health centers are currently participating in this workshop, which is jointly funded by USAID and the Tibet Fund, to develop the accounting capacity of the DoH’s branch clinics.
The workshop’s inaugural ceremony was attended by Chief Guest Health Kalon Choekyong Wangchuk, Secretary Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi, Additional Secretary Yeshi Wangmo and Joint Secretary Jampa Phuntsok, along with staff of the health department.
In his inaugural speech, Kalon Choekyong Wangchuk spoke to the participants about the important roles of an accountant and the need for developing efficiency in that role.
Tenzin Sheden, Deputy Secretary of the Office of the Auditor General, CTA, is the workshop’s main resource, along with other guest speakers from various CTA departments.
