Dharamsala: The Department of Health, CTA held an online meeting on Joint Drug Procurement recently with the Executive Secretaries of Bylakuppe Tsojhe Hospital, Kollegal DVT Hospital, and Hunsur Menlha Hospital. The main objective of this meeting was to discuss accomplishments, lessons learned, and challenges while implementing the joint drug procurement for the respective health facilities. In February 2021, the Department issued guidelines to the above three health facilities to start a joint purchase end of medicine from a nearby city to improve access for affordable medicines of good quality to achieve the overall goal of health for all. Phende Hospital Executive secretary Mr. Sonam Yougyal la is leading the joint drug procurement initiative for the South Zone.
The Optimal Service Model, Project Coordinator Mr. Tsering of the department lead this meeting and urged the respective health facilities to extend maximum cooperation in strengthening the services provided.
