The Anti-Rabies Vaccination Program, conducted from January to February 2025, successfully vaccinated 566 dogs across five South-Central Tibetan settlements: Mundgod, Odisha, Hunsur, Bhandara, and Mainpat. In some settlements the initiative was carried out in coordination with the Indian Government Veterinary Department in Mainpat while in settlements such as Bhandara the initiative was tie up between Dr.Ujwal Bawanthade along his team. Notable efforts included vaccinating 110 dogs in Mainpat, 126 stray dogs in Odisha, 150 dogs in Mundgod, 60 dogs in Bhandara and 120 dogs in Hunsur received vaccinations, and dogs with health issues such as wound and lice infestation were also treated. This initiative was funded by TAWS which will actively protect the community from rabies.
