With funding from the united states government under the TESC program a total of 721(M-298/F-423) elders above the age of 65 availed free check up which included Physical and Mental assessment, Routine blood tests, ECG, and Consultation. Through this initiative common conditions identified included Hypertension, arthritis, gastritis and urinary tract infections. 3 individuals were newly identified with Hepatitis B. This program has successfully fostered not only improved physical health but also enhanced social interaction and mental well-being among the elderlies.
The camps concluded successfully with personalized take home messages esp. on maintaining physical activity and eating a well balanced diet. Beneficiaries expressed their sincere gratitude to the sponsored initiative led by their local Health facilities.
