Dehradun, 8th March, Mr Jampa Phuntsok, secretary of the Health Department,CTA attended the 25th founding anniversary of Ngoenga School for special needs children as its chief guest. Accompanied by Ms. Tenzin Tseyang, the dealing officer, the secretary joined a host of dignitaries, including the Settlement Officer of Dekyiling Settlement, circuit justice commissioners, heads of monasteries and nunneries, and representatives from primary health centers and NGOs .
The students of Ngoenga School showcased their talents through a march pass, calisthenics, dance and song performances, and sports activities. Following which the Secretary of the Health Department presented appreciation certificates to staff members who have served the school for over 15 years and launched the school magazine.
In his address, the secretary emphasized the importance of celebrating the day to improve future prospects and appreciated the efforts of teachers and staff in enabling students to perform and learn. He expressed gratitude to the organisers and acknowledged the challenges of caring for special children with limited resources. The secretary praised the exceptional service of the staff, teachers, and parents, highlighting the humanitarian aspect of their work. He also thanked sponsors, donors, and individuals for their continued support, in improving the wellbeing of the students.
