Central India – May 10, 2026 Joint Secretary Mr. Namgyal Gendun, Head of the South and Central Zone of the Health Department, and OSM Program Coordinator Mr. Tsering, concluded a review of health projects in Tibetan settlements across Central India (Mainpat, Bhandara, and Orissa) from April 28th to May 9th, 2026.
Their visit focused on assessing ongoing and completed health initiatives. Mr. Tsering conducted quality assurance assessments in the health centers, while Joint Secretary Mr. Namgyal monitored projects and discussed future plans. They met with local officials, health staff, and community leaders to understand needs and reviewed staff workload and program data management. Mr. Tsering will continue monitoring at the Ladakh Tibetan Primary Health Centre through May 13.
