At 9:00 AM, Kalon arrived at the Men-Tsee-Khang branch clinic, where she was warmly received by the doctors and staff. The branch director introduced the medical team and briefed Kalon on the clinic’s various departments and available facilities.Kalon inspected the daily patient registry and inquired about the clinic’s annual activities. She suggested that digitising patient records in the future would help identify the most prevalent illnesses within the community, which would be highly beneficial for designing future healthcare programmes and awareness campaigns. Furthermore, she emphasised the necessity of maintaining accurate data to facilitate smooth e-Governance operations in the future. Highlighting the significance of the Tibetan language, the Kalon described Men-Tsee-Khang as a vital centre for Tibetan language and culture. She commended the young doctors for their service and urged all staff members to continue serving the public with love, compassion, dedication, and an altruistic heart.

Following this, she visited the DVT health centre and was welcomed by the entire staff. The executive secretary introduced the medical team and led the Kalon on an inspection tour of all the departments. During a subsequent staff gathering, the secretary presented the hospital’s history, its current facilities, and ongoing challenges.

Speaking on behalf of the 17thKashag (Cabinet), Kalon praised the staff for their commendable service. She expressed deep gratitude to the older generation and former staff members whose hard work established the current infrastructure. Welcoming the local youth serving at the facility, she urged the staff to work collaboratively to care for helpless elders and sick youths. The staff then had the opportunity to present their grievances and suggestions to the Kalon.

In the afternoon, Kalon visited the Old Age Home. After being received by the director, she interacted with each of the elderly residents individually and inspected their living quarters and the community kitchen.

Subsequently, she visited the homes of solitary destitutes and individuals facing severe health issues. She advised the solitary destitutes to consider moving to the Old Age Home, noting that it would provide them with three regular meals a day and better overall facilities. She also advised the ailing destitutes to take their medications on time and to request any necessary assistance directly from the nurses and the health centre’s director.

Kalon then inspected both completed and ongoing projects under the health centre’s Water and Sanitation initiative. She issued specific instructions regarding the newly constructed water tank, mandating that detailed information, including the construction date, maintenance schedule, and cleaning dates, must be clearly recorded on the water tank.

Kalon concluded the day’s itinerary by inspecting the settlement’s waste disposal and landfill site.
