Health Department organises Workshop on Accounting, Tally, Income Tax, Budget

The Department of Health, CTA is organizing a 10-day workshop for accountants of Hospitals and Primary health care centers and clinics of various settlements at McLeod Ganj. The workshop aims to update the accountants to revitalize the accountancy practice in the respective offices to meet the regular changes and challenges in the field of income tax, tally, budgeting system etc.

Health Secretary, Tsegyal Dranyi was invited as the chief guest at the inauguration held on Monday. He spoke on the importance of accountability of incomes and expenses, budgeting rules and regulations, transparency of projects activities etc.

Secretary also advised the accountants to adhere to the core rules of the budget allocations and obligations.

Mr Tenzin Legdup, Expenditure division head of Finance Department, Mr Namgyal Gendun, Chief Accountant and Ms Tenzin Palkyi accountant from DOHealth are the resource persons for the workshop.

The workshop will conclude on 24 October 2018.
