Health Department Organises Talk on World Hepatitis Day

On World Hepatitis Day 2018, Department of Health (DoHe), CTA mainly focusing on educating the monks and nuns have organised awareness camps at monasteries and public halls in the Tibetan settlements throughout India by the staff of DoHe health centres.

In Dharamshala, the message of preventing and treating hepatitis B was given at Shugseb Nunnery and Gyuto Monastery. The talk at Shugseb was organised in collaboration with Settlement office, Dharamshala. Dr Sonam from Delek and Dr Rigzin Sangmo from Mentseekhang was invited to aware the monks of Gyuto Monastery. The event at Shugseb was attended by around 50 Nuns and 250 monks attended at Gyuto monastery.
