The Department of health CTA organised a four-day refresher training on Comprehensive Community Outreach and Coordinated Care (CCOCC) and a two-day refresher training on TB Program Management at Tsojhe Khangsar Charitable hospital at Bylakuppe from 8 to 14 January 2018.
The workshop was conducted for the TB nurses and other health staff to refresh and update on the programs to help them implement the programs successfully and deliver efficient outreach services through:
– Comprehensive coverage of community.
– Strengthening health information and early detection of diseases.
– Strengthening preventive health aspect through proactive behaviour change.
Resource persons to the workshop were Dr Dhondup Tashi, Medical Officer at Gaden Jangtse Monastery hospital, Mundgod, Mr Vikas Dagur, Tibet Fund consultant and Dr Lobsang Tsering, (Head-Public Health Division) Department of Health, CTA.
Lugsam settlement officer Mr Gelek Jungney was invited at the opening of the workshop.
There were 10 participants from four southern health facilities and 2 from central health facility (Orissa). In total 12 health workers attended the workshop.
After Concluding the South regional refresher training on CCOCC and TB program management, department of health provided similar a workshop
to the health workers from north and central health facilities under the health department which began from 22 January at the Tibetan reception center, Dharamsala.
Mr Jampa Phuntsok (joint secretary) department of health was invited to the workshop opening. The workshop was attended by 17 health workers from North and central DOHe health facilities.
Dr Lobsang Tsering, (Head-Public Health Division) department of health, CTA was the resource person to both workshops (CCOCC and TB). The training successfully concluded on 27 of January
2018.
