Health Department holds Free Medical Camp for Devotees in Bodh Gaya

Bodh Gaya: As thousands of pilgrims gather at Bodh Gaya to attend the teachings from His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the Department of Health of Central Tibetan Administration set up medical camps in the teaching vicinity to provide free medical services and assistance to the devotees. The Department began its free Medical services from 19 December 2018.

The Medical camp team consists of two health staff, two doctors, eight nurses and two drivers from different health facilities under the Health department. The camp will provide services such as general physician consultation, inpatient services, dressing of wounds, free distribution of medicines and ambulance service for emergency cases.

On its first day, the Camp served more than 150 patients, and the numbers keep increasing on a daily basis.

The free Medical services will continue till 4 January 2019.
