Health Department held Workshop on Sowa-Rigpa and Allopathy Integration Project

Dharamshala: A workshop on integrating the Sowa-Rigpa and Allopathy medical systems was held in Bir-Chauntra on August 10th, where a committee was formed consisting of physicians from both systems. This committee will provide advice and supervision to the public on pandemic precautions and disease awareness, with the ultimate goal of improving the overall health standard of Tibetan residents. As part of this initiative, Dr. Tsetan Dorji Sadutshang, the Personal Physician to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, and Dr. Tsewang Tamdin spoke to Tibetans in the Sonamling Tibetan Settlement, Ladakh on August 14th.

This event was attended by local nurses, the director of the Tibetan Primary Health Care Centre, and sMenpas from the local Men-tsee-khang. The discussion emphasized the importance of integrating Sowa-Rigpa and Allopathy.
