The DTR Hospital Mundgod, administered through the department, successfully organized a Master health check-up for its resident elders over the age of 65. The initiative began on February 10th and continued for almost a month.
A total of 595 elderly people availed of the medical benefit. Elders were screened in accordance with camp, and those with restricted mobility were seen at home. The health package comprised important blood tests, stool and urine investigations, which enabled for early diagnosis and medical guidance. This initiative successfully treated cases of H. pylori infection and anemia, with suggested follow-ups.
