For TB awareness and prevention in our Tibetan community, Department of Health in collaboration with Tibetan National Sports Association (TNSA) and Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) organized first ever national level Tibetan Basketball Tournament themed-Tibetan Basketball Tournament Against TB at Gangchen Kyishong, Dharamsala on 27th September 2017.

Twelve Tibetan teams from India and Nepal participated in the tournament. The teams include Mundgod, Lugsum from Bylakuppe, TDL from Bylakuppe, Northeast Yak, Bir, Sarah (Dharamshala), Pohkra (Nepal), Delhi, Ladakh, Clement town, All star (Dharamshala) and Drogba (Dharamshala). The tournament opening ceremony was chaired by Health Secretary Mr Tsegyal Dranyi and other members from the organisation. The final match will be on 2nd October 2017 at Gangkyi Basketball court.
