Department of Health Organises Orientation Course on Sowa-Rigpa for Tibetan Healthcare Professionals

Dharamshala: The Department of Health, Central Tibetan Administration, commenced its Orientation Course on Sowa-Rigpa for 11 healthcare professionals from nine different Tibetan settlements on 21 June 2023 at the Sowa-Rigpa College in Bengaluru, affiliated with Drophen Men-tsee-khang.

The inaugural ceremony of the ten-day orientation course, 21- 30 June, was attended by the Chief Representative Officer (CRO) of South Zone, Jigmey Tsultrim, as the event’s chief guest.

The coordinator of the programmes, Menpa Tsering Tsamchoe, gave a speech outlining the goals of the orientation course followed by the principal of the institute, Dorjee Rapten’s address. In his remarks, chief guest Jigmey Tsultrim urged the attendees to get the most out of the Orientation Course.

Over the course of the 30-session programme, 13 sMenpas (medical physicians) will deliver educational lectures during theoretical (20) and practical (10) classes.
