Dharamshala, 12 May 2026: The CTA Summer Inter-Departmental Basketball Tournament concluded successfully today. The tournament, which began on 20 April, featured 10 men’s teams and two women’s teams this season. Held biannually, it is hosted by the Department with the key objective of promoting physical and mental well-being while fostering team spirit among participants.

Kashag Secretary Mr. Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi attended the basketball tournament as chief guest, urging CTA staff to serve with greater dedication following an audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, while highlighting the event’s focus on health, unity, and youth participation. In the finals, CTA United won the women’s title and the Department of Finance took the men’s championship. The event concluded with a prize ceremony where trophies were awarded, referees honored, and Mr. Tenzin Kunsang of the Department of Finance received the Best Player award.
