Awareness on ‘Cardiac Triage and Assessment’ in south settlements

In July 2023, a three-day CPR Awareness training was conducted in four south settlements – Hunsur, Kollegal, Mundgod, and Bylakuppee. The training was held from the 7th to the 26th of July, with two to three sessions per day in each settlement. The training was conducted by a registered nurse, Mr. Ngodup Phunsok, from New Jersey, who provided insights on ‘Cardiac Triage and Assessment’. The participants were hospital staff (both medical and non-medical), executive secretaries, nurses from monasteries and camp leaders, school children, and settlement residents. A total of 371 participants attended the training, comprising 177 males and 194 females. The program was funded by USAID.
