Dharamsala, 28th August 2026: The Tibetan Voluntary Health Association (TVHA), Department of Health, Central Tibetan Administration, held its Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) on 28th August 2026 at Sarah Tibetan College, Dharamsala, to discuss key matters concerning health policy and the organization’s future priorities.

The meeting reviewed the proposed Health Policy and recommended incorporating key areas including medicine procurement, disaster and emergency management, Improving Women’s Health, Capacity building and networking for Allopathy students and SORIG (Tibetan Traditional medicine), Professional & Infrastructure development, Integration of Tibetan and Allopathic medicine. As the Health Policy is intended to serve as a long-term framework, the members emphasized that it should be drafted with due time-based validation by a separate committee and further verification backed by recommendations from field experts.

The members also approved the formation of a Health Advisory Committee comprising healthcare and administrative professionals.

The meeting further approved the sale of the old official vehicle through a sealed tender process and agreed to convene the next AGM in March 2027 through Google Meet.
