The Health Department’s mental health bureau organised a training of trainers on Healthy Activity Programme (HAP) counselling from July 10 through July 16 at Bylakuppe settlement in cooperation with Sangath’s HAP trainers. A total of 18 nurses took part in this programme, which aimed to improve participants’ knowledge and abilities in providing counselling to people with mental disorders. The HAP trainers also administered a nurse competency test the following the seven days of training.
