Three-Day Orientation on TVHA-Integrated Health Information System

Dharamshala: A three-day program orientation and training on the pilot trial of TVHA-Integrated Health Information System (TMAI-Sowa Rigpa) commenced at Men-Tsee-Khang for the clinicians of TMAI Gangkyi and Mcloed Branch Clinics. The training started on the 2nd of March extending to the 4th of March 2023 in Dharamsala collaborating with HISP India.

The purpose of the training is for easy coordination, collection, process, and reporting of data from non-Department of Health facilities. This is crucial to building a comprehensive and robust health surveillance system for the Tibetan refugee community. The need of capturing the health data from the Tibetan Medical & Astro Science Institute (TMAI) is important for TMAI as well as TVHA to understand the overall community health.

The Department of Health in collaboration with HISP India developed Integrated Health Information System (HIS) for TMAI and the training is being funded by USAID through the Tibet Fund.
