Dharamshala: With new cases of COVID-19 being reported in a few of Tibetan settlements in India, an urgent meeting was held by Lugsam Settlement officer with Tsojhe Health authorities to discuss the ongoing quarantine protocol and to assess the need for 7 days institutional and 14 days home quarantine for the Tibetans returning or arriving from Delhi.

As per the State’s protocol, people arriving from Maharashtra are kept under 7-day Institutional quarantine and sent home for 14-day home quarantine if they test negative for COVID at Taluk Hospital.

The testing is done under the supervision of Tsojhe Hospital.

After the meeting, the Settlement Officer inspected the Special Flu Unit maintained by Tsojhe Hospital. Under this unit, patients with flu symptoms are treated separately as a preventive act aiming towards containing the spread of disease.
