On the 6th of July, people around the World celebrate His Holiness the Dalai lama’s birthday; on this special occasion, the Tibetan Settlement Herbertpur engaged in a six-day Trungkar basket tournament from the 1st to 6th of July, and it has participated in various youth groups. The matches were played amongst six teams, with two teams from Sambota Tibetan School, one from Lakhanwala, Baluwala and two from ITI Selakui, respectively. 

There were 38 participants and the program is funded by USAID through Tibetfund and the Department of Health.
