Health Kalon Dr Tsering Wangchuk yesterday left Dharamshala for an official visit to New Delhi and Maharashtra from 3 – 17 January 2016.

The purpose of the visit is to study primary health care model, community health programs and TB diagnostics run by several health institutions in Mumbai, Jamkhed and Pune.

The visit under the Four Years Tibetan Health System Capacity Strengthening (THSCS) project of the Health Department, CTA in partnership with Tibet Fund, sponsored by the USAID

From 11-15 January, Kalon, accompanied by Consultant of THSCS Health project, Public Health Division Head/Tibetan TB Program Manager, Dr Lobsang Tsering and hospital administrators will be attending five days Training Program on Hospital and Healthcare Administration at IIPA, New Delhi.

Health Kalon will also visit Central TB division of Ministry of Health and Family welfare, GOI, New Delhi to discuss new funding on two and half years Tibetan TB project of the Health Department of the CTA.

Health Kalon will return to Dharamshala on 18 January.
