Dharamshala: Department of Health, CTA has started Free Hepatitis B and C screening at Bylakuppe, Hunsur, Kollegal,Mainpat, Clementown, Baluwala, Dharawali, Bir and Chauntra Tibetan Settlements in India. The Prevalence study was initiated in 2019 under the funding from PRM. The process of data collection is through house to house demographic data collection, followed by Free Hepatitis B and C testing. The People infected with Hepatitis B will be further evaluated with the required follow up tests to identify the need of treatment. All the non-infected and non-vaccinated individuals are provided free hepatitis vaccination.
