Puruwala, Paonta: On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of World Environment Day, the Tibetan settlement of Puruwala initiated a cleaning drive around the settlement.

The community’s RTWA and TYC members jointly participated in the drive. On the same day, awareness programs were launched and those who volunteered in the cleaning drive were presented with souvenirs to appreciate their contributions.

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5th June with an aim to encourage awareness and action toward the protection of the environment.
