Mental Health

The Mental Health program was introduced in 1991 in response to a growing neeMental healthd for better care of torture survivors and mental health patients. Moving beyond the conventional religious and medical treatment, the program strives to provide a holistic support system for mental health patients.

In order to provide psycho social support and mental health services, field workers are appointed in various Tibetan settlements across India. Every year all mental health field workers receive intensive training on various aspects of mental health services.
